30 years of Alpego

The story of Alpego is linked to a name and to the first years of the Italian post-war period, when Vittorio Pegoraro, born in 1921, began to build the first agricultural machines in a small town in the north-east of Italy with the help of his wife Agnese. In a short time, their work became well-known, and they were recognized as excellent builders, always close to the customer’s needs and with innovative solutions. In 1988, the sons of Vittorio, Giovanni and Luciano, strong of the experience made working with the father, decided to follow the family passion and to undertake a new challenge. Starting from the same small town in the north-east of Italy, they created Alpego – THE BEST TECHNOLOGY IN THE WORLD aiming at innovative solutions and international markets. Since the beginning they developed new concepts that revolutionized the agricultural sector: they were among the first in Italy to focus on foldable power harrows, on rotary tillers with the exclusive central transmission and on the concept of subsoiling.

Between 1995 and 2000, Alpego achieved the full development in Europe, thanks also to the arrival of Nicola, until reaching in 2001 the first fundamental step to affirm the Alpego brand also outside the national borders: the opening of the French subsidiary.

Given the expansion to international markets, the introduction of new machines became indispensable. The company decided to create new and more efficient machines; and to enter also into the world of combined machines. In 2006 the foreign turnover was greater than the national one.

The continuous increase of the business has led Alpego to the construction of a new headquarters in 2008 in order to meet the growth and to give customers the best solution. In 2012 the company officially came in the 3rd generation thanks to the entrance of Luca and Filippo Pegoraro.

In 2018 Alpego celebrates its 30th anniversary and affirms its presence on all continents, focusing on the aim of having “the best technology in the field” and therefore to offer “the best possible service to the customers.”
